The course that made me become a measurer
The course that inspired me to become a measurer was the S24H ultramarathon, where my passion for running met technical precision — a path that showed me that every centimeter matters when you want a race to be truly fair.
A short timeline of the activities that led me to become a course measurer:
- 2018 – My first measurement, together with A-Level Measurer Christian Delerue, for the European 24-Hour Running Championship. The course was a 1.2 km loop.
- 2019 – Second measurement, for the World 50 km Running Championship in Brașov, with A-Level Measurer Christian Delerue.
- 2019 – Measurement of a 2 km loop around the National Arena in Bucharest for the 2020 World 24-Hour Championship. Event canceled due to COVID-19. With A-Level Measurer Christian Delerue.
- 2022 – Measurement of the Liberty Marathon Timișoara course, with A-Level Measurer Christian Delerue.
- 2022 – Measurement of the Wizz Air Marathon Cluj-Napoca course, with A-Level Measurer Christian Delerue.
- 2022 – Took the B-Level Measurer Exam in Brașov, with A-Level Measurer Christian Delerue.
- 2023 – First solo measurement: 2 km loop, Belgrade Ultramarathon.
- 2023 – Re-measurement of the S24H course – 1.2 km loop.
- 2023 – Measurement of Brașov Running Festival, alongside A-Level Measurer Giorgios Doussis.
- 2024 – Re-measurement of Wizz Air Marathon.
- 2024 – Re-measurement of Timișoara Liberty Marathon.
- 2024 – Measurement of Oradea 5K – National Championship.
- 2025 – Measurement of Crosul USAMV Bucharest (10K, 1K).
- 2025 – Measurement of CN Mars Craiova (1K, 2K).
- 2025 – Re-measurement of Brașov Running Festival, with A-Level Measurer Lucija Kolic.
